Week 12 – How quick can you make it?
It’s week 12 in the R9 Accelerator and it’s been an exciting journey for Bosspac!
We did our next iteration of prototyping sessions with self-employed people. It’s been a great experience, because they ask us to make our solution available in the next couple of months. No promises, but we’ll do our best, our supporters!
We had our first Dragon’s Den sessions where investors and other people from the private sector provided us with their feedback. It helps teams to polish the pitches and get ready for the final Demo Day!
We continued working with Xero and it’s just amazing to have their support and have this great opportunity to learn from them. Bosspac also had the chance to show our prototype to Talent International and hear their thoughts about it.
Bosspac also had a meeting with a students’ association to learn more about student experiences, how they cover their living expenses and what challenges students face when they start a business. Students are in an especially challenging situation, because the average student will already have a student loan to repay, making it a difficult decision if they want to go on their own and start a business after finishing studies.
What we learnt this week:
- Polishing a pitch takes a lot of time and practice
- You can’t get high if you didn’t go low!
- Invest resources in developing the existing relationships as it’s harder to establish new ones.
