Week 10 – We want to be part of this
Bosspac has just finished another busy week in the accelerator and now is only 3.5 weeks away from the final Demo Day.
This week we had Small Business Minister Jacqui Dean visiting our space at R9 Accelerator. It was nice to have a quick chat with her and talk about the work we are doing.
We have continued to work together with self-employed people on our prototype and the feedback is great – they can’t wait to be able to access the solution when it is available. We also continued to research our focus for MVP that would be the critical part to be built so that self-employed people get the best value out of our solution.
This week we also closely worked with government agencies and the feedback that we get from them is “We want to be part of this”. We also take into account the feedback that we get from government agencies and we do our best to align it with what self-employed people want.
We also met with Spark to learn more about how they see self-employed people space. They are doing such a great job to make their contractors feel like employees. It was also interesting to learn more about the challenges that their contractors face when it comes to dealing with government obligations. We can conclude that it doesn’t matter what occupation you hold, who your clients are and how hard you work – the majority of self-employed people face very similar challenges.
We are about to finalize our Demo Day invite list – we have been given very limited spaces – if you want to jump on board, please get in touch with us.
What we learnt this week:
- Perfectionism doesn’t have a space in a startup – keep to the 20/80 rule.
- Listen carefully to the feedback that your users give to you about your solution – this might be a game changer.
- Trust and good relationship in the team is the key.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey! Back to work with more customer insights, government agencies and pitches…
